EVA OUDEN AMPSEN  ( Amsterdam, 1953 )

EVA OUDEN AMPSEN ( Amsterdam, 1953 )

Eva Ouden Ampsen is a Dutch artist living and working in a former vicarage near Groningen, the Netherlands.

Her work is varied in terms of method, material and shapes.

The portraits of women are a returning theme and a great source of inspiration.

Particularly, the geisha, which gives her creations an oriental appearance.

Distinctive in her work is her unique decoration technique: highly detailed, full of colour and fantasy.

To realize her ideas, she uses various materials, such as, bronze, wood, clay, cardboard and paper.

She expresses her creative aspirations in many forms, such as, vases, bowls, necklaces, clutch bags and sculptures.

In addition, she makes collages build from hundreds of pieces of torn paper  and also portraits with chalk.
